G.D Goenka Public School, Paschim Vihar, conducted a cleanliness drive and awareness campaign on the occasion of the Earth day. Students went for the drive to the nearby district park and executed the drive and made visitors of the park understand that cleanliness is an important step towards 'Clean and Green Earth'.

With an objective to reassert its support to all environment related issues, specially the need to curb pollution caused by plastic waste, G.D. Goenka Public School celebrated the ‘Earth Day’ with great aplomb on 21st April 2023 through Inter-house Bulletin Board Competition on the theme “Invest in the Planet”. The first position was bagged by Vivekanand while second position was shared by Tagore and Radhakrishnan House. Teresa House got the third position.

G.D Goenka Public School, Paschim Vihar, conducted an awareness campaign on importance of first aid and disaster management.  Importance of first aid was demonstrated with a help of a nukkad-natak performed by the students. Various techniques of first aid has been performed in order to showcase the same.  Presentation and demonstration of relief from natural disasters like earthquake and fire, were conducted to make students aware about disaster management.

“The foundation for good parent teacher relationship is, frequent and open communication, mutual respect and a clear understanding of what is best for each individual child.” Keeping this view in mind, GD Goenka Public School organized an Orientation Programme on 26th March, 2023. The aim of the Orientation Programme was to familiarize the parents as the partners in progress with the school's culture, mission and vision, curriculum and teaching pedagogies.  The plethora of cultural activities showcased during the event gave an assurance to the parents that our curriculum involves self directed and experiential learning activities which not only give wings to the creative talents but also strengthens the holistic development of a child.The orientation programme proved to be a sincere effort made by the school while providing the positive parenting tips to the parents. It was an informative yet a joyful meeting with parents.

New teachers, new friends, new uniforms and so many new things to look forward to for Our Little Goenkans. The first day of school started with a lot of excitement for our students of Grade NUR - II on 10th April, 2023 as they  moved away from their parents into the caring and loving hands of their Mother teachers. It was an eventful day as the students were delighted to see their favourite characters such Minion and the Hamley Mascot bear welcoming them on their first day of school. Plethora of grade level activities were conducted which made their experience more joyful and experiential. A special Play Zone was set up to make the students feel more comfortable and special.  The parents were all smiles and appreciative of the efforts put in by the school as they received their joyful little ones eagerly sharing stories and anecdotes of their memorable First Day.  Indeed it was a splendid beginning with the promise of more to come!

GD Goenka Public School Paschim Vihar had conducted the career guidance session for the students of class VI to XII on April 12, 2023, by Fiitjee Punjabi Bagh Center . The spokesperson Mr Ashwani enriched the students by highlighting the importance of career in their life and equipped them with all the possible and highly productive career options in almost all the career fields to build their successful careers . He had also shown an inspirational and motivational video to the students for encouraging them and guiding in various walks of life . The workshop was indeed an enriching and productive experience for the students.

Earthquake drill was executed in GD Goenka Public School, Paschim Vihar on 12 April, 2023 to create awareness and preparedness during calamities.The students were trained to be alert, quick and responsible, follow instructions, maintain calm and avoid panic to avert stampede and casualties. The main aim of the drill was to build courage and confidence amongst students and develop leadership skills. Students were trained to reach the safe designated areas allocated for each class in case of any emergency. Head count was done by the class teachers to ensure the presence of everyone.

A special Baisakhi assembly was being conducted on 13th April 2023 by the students of Grade 7 at G D Goenka Paschim Vihar. In order to celebrate the spirit of Punjab, the students showcased a Mini-Punjab with Punjabi cuisine, vibrant Phulkari Dupattas, and with young farmers harvesting the crops and welcoming the new year with immense joy and excitement. They were also adorned as Panj Pyaare to be the symbol of steadfastness and devotion. The students also presented the splendid folk dances of Bhangra and Gidda and heightened the mood of the festival.
