Art of Living YES+ Program: A Transformative Experience
The Art of Living YES+ program, a subsidiary of the renowned Art of Living Foundation, is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive toolkit for personal and emotional well-being. 
The YES+ program focuses on integrating practical life skills, ancient wisdom, and modern techniques to foster holistic growth. It includes a combination of breathing exercises, yoga, meditation, interactive processes, and knowledge sessions. The program's ultimate goal is to equip individuals with the tools needed to manage stress, enhance clarity, and develop a positive outlook.
During the YES+ program, students of GD Goenka Paschim Vihar had the privilege of participating in various activities that left a profound impact on students overall well-being. 
One of the most memorable experiences was the Sudarshan Kriya, a unique breathing technique that helped them regulate their breathing patterns and achieve a deep sense of relaxation.

 The Art of Living YES+ program was a transformative experience that provided  students with essential life skills and tools for personal growth. The combination of breathing techniques, interactive processes, and knowledge sessions contributed to a wonderful and holistic learning journey. This program has empowered students to navigate life's challenges with greater resilience, positivity, and self-awareness.

A day trip to Kidzania was organized on 23rd August, 2023 for the students of Grade NUR - KG. It was a perfect combination of fun and learning as it was their first excursion with their friends. Our young learners enjoyed the various activities that were designed to aid in physical and intellectual growth, contributed to the development of their skills and stimulated creative thinking in them. They were educated, inspired, and empowered by real-life experience through role-play activities like making Parle – G biscuits, they learned how a fireman rescues people from fire, how an ambulance transports a patient to the hospital and so on. It was truly an enriching and a unique experience for them as they went home with great joy and sweet memories.

Raksha Bandhan is a special occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions.
To commemorate this festival, a Rakhi Making Activity was organized by NIE for the students of the grade V on 22nd August 2023 in the school premises. 
Students made beautiful Rakhis using different articles like Jute, Dori, thread,
Mirrors, Stones etc. Their artisanship was quite fascinating and children thoroughly enjoyed this activity that tickled their creative side.

जी.डी.गोयंका पब्लिक स्कूल, पश्चिम विहार में 23 नवंबर ,2022 तक अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हिंदी ओलंपियाड का आयोजन किया गया। जिसमें पहली कक्षा से नवीं कक्षा तक छात्रों ने बढ़-चढ़ करअपनी प्रतिभा का प्रदर्शन किया । अतः छात्रों ने विशिष्ट उपलब्धि प्रशस्ति-पत्र व अधिकांश छात्रों ने रजत पदक प्राप्त किए।

It's a glorious and a proud moment for our school as the students of Grade KG - VI have bagged medals of victory in the Iconic Kids Skating Championship which was held at Paschim Vihar Sports Complex on 6th August,2023. Our young Goenkans were seen participating with full enthusiasm and zeal in three categories of Skating Competition ie. Inline, Quads and Adjustable. The top-notch skaters of our school gave stellar performances and brought laurels to the school. The results are as follows:-
In the Inline category, Jairaj Singh and Atharv Khandelwal won Ist position, Gurbaaz Singh, and Sara won IInd position and Aayat Fatima won IIIrd position.
In the Quads category, Riddhi won Ist position and Satvik won IInd position.
In the Adjustable category, Mayank and Divyanshi won Ist position.

We congratulate all the winners and their mentor Ms Nidhi Jolly for this victory.

Craig Federighi had rightly quoted ' Coding is fundamental to literacy in the future ' . Our efficient and intelligent students had participated in AURORA 3.0 , The Cryptic Hunt event organized by DTU from 27 May - 28 May at DTU campus . It's a puzzle solving challenge where our students crack codes and unlock secrets . After a grueling 24 hours of dedicated research and puzzle solving, Our students achieved a ranking of 11 out of 115 competing teams. It was indeed a knowledgeable and erudite experience for our talented Goenkans.

Stephanie Perkins had rightly quoted ' A blank canvas has unlimited possibilities ' . GD Goenka Public School had organized Inter House Art Competition ' *Brilliant Strokes'* for classes VIII and IX . Nityansh of class VIII had secured first position followed by Shambhavi of class VIII who had secured second position in this competition and this has given the great representation of their creative brilliance on the topic ' My Modern World' . Our young Goenkans of class IX are indeed no less , they have showcased their creativity on the topic 'Folk Art in Contemporary World '. Kush Kumar had secured the first position, followed by Ayanna Prakash who had secured second position and Radhika Aggarwal , who had successfully grabbed the third position. Isha Sharma had also got the consolation price . Thus we appreciate their aesthetic and exquisite artifacts of extreme genius.

Our talented young Goenkans of class XI and XII had participated in the Interhouse Basketball Competition ( Boys) and in appreciation of the same , they have been awarded with the certificates for showcasing brilliant effort in the match and keeping the sportsmanship alive . Radhakrishnan House bagged the first position followed by Vivekananda House , which secured the second position in the competition. It was indeed an exciting and exhilarating match .

Our super talented girls of classes IX and X have been awarded with certificates for showcasing exceptional performance in Interhouse Basketball Competition ( Girls) . Teresa House bagged the first position, followed by Radhakrishnan House , which secured second position in this tough competition. It was indeed an ardent effort by our girls .

Bertrand Russell had rightly quoted ' No great achievement is possible without persistent work'. Students of GD Goenka Public School Paschim Vihar had participated in Interschool Inception of the Fictional Character Competition at Shah International School on 28 July 2023 . Our talented Goenkans Ayanna Prakash and Kabir Chadha of grade 9th had successfully secured 3rd position in the competition . It was the validation of their zealous efforts, utmost hardwork and great determination. Our students had given the beautiful representation of perfection, precision and rightness. Thus, it is a moment of pride for us to share this news with all.
