Message from the desk of Vice Principal

“Learning is a process whereby knowledge is created through the transformation of experience,”

– David A. Kolb

The world around us is extremely dynamic and volatile. It is constantly changing. What seems to be new today, becomes obsolete tomorrow. Everything is ambiguous and uncertain, and therefore what remains critical is not ‘what to learn’ but ‘how to learn’. In order to thrive and stand firm through the changes of the VUCA world, our learners must not only gain knowledge but rather must know how to create one. Learning should not be restricted to merely knowing the content or having information, but should also extend to the skill of ‘learning about learning’. Experiential or hands-on learning is one such pedagogical approach which allow learners to learn about the process of learning. Under this approach, learners actively engage in the experience, reflect upon their experience from multiple perspective, integrate their observations and realizations, and develop their own understanding. Experiential or hands-on learning is at the heart of G.D Goenka, and we aspire to imbue our learners with the skills required to be successful in the future.
