          Safety awareness

Safety awareness should begin from the childhood itself as kids are the ones who are most heard by their parents. Road safety education at a younger age not only saves the future generations from the menace of road accidents but also encourages our present generation to obey the TRAFFIC RULES.

          G. D. Goenka Public School, Paschim Vihar observed Road Safety Awareness Week on 16th January 2023 & 17th January 2023 in the school premises. Plethora of activities were conducted to sensitise our Goenkans to create an awareness about the etiquettes and rules on road safety.

Activities like Poster making, PPT showing, sharing real life experiences and watching appropriate videos are to name a few. Students participated wholeheartedly and derived important information in the context. PowerPoint Presentation aimed to make the students responsible road users and also to enhance respect for their lives and that of others as well. It inspired students to follow the road safety norms and regulations. In turn, they reiterated the same to their peers, siblings, parents, grandparents and guardians. Poster Making on Cautionary Signs helped kids identify the important traffic signs and built children's understanding of road safety rules. Hence, road safety education is as essential as any other basic skill for survival.
